Description
Care at Home Services and reduction in service provision - We're taking all necessary steps to ensure our most vulnerable citizens continue to receive the support they need which is why we have taken the decision to move to critical care cover for all areas of the city, in partnership with the Health and Social Care Partnership. This means we must prioritise service users based on their care needs during this challenging time. Health and Social Care Partnership home care services is also focusing on supporting patients being discharged home from hospital. Families and carers are being contacted directly to ensure services users are supported. Residential older people care homes - In response to Government and NHS guidance in relation to the spread of COVID-19 we've had to close all our five residential older people care homes to residents' relatives and visitors. We will communicate directly to families and friends. It's paramount we protect our most vulnerable residents at this time of crisis. Older people day care centres - Glasgow Council in Partnership with the HSCP has taken the decision to close all of our 10 older people day care centres across the city affective from Friday 20 March at 4pm. The HSCP is committed to supporting service users to remain at home during this difficult time.
