Teapot Trust
Arts & Creativity Mental Health Health & Wellbeing Family Services
Description
An award-winning mental health charity, that supports children, young people, and their families through expert art therapy, to cope with the challenges of chronic physical & often invisible health conditions, such as juvenile arthritis, diabetes, cystic fibrosis and cancers. Critera: Must be a child or young person ( age range 5-18) who has a chronic health condition that is affecting their ability to cope. Or a sibling or parent/carer who is affected mentally by the young person's condition. Art Therapists triage on a case-by-case basis and assess whether one-to-one, group, or family therapy is most appropriate. Please note that self-referral is funded and families are not charged. Organisations may be asked to commission art therapy support for a cohort of their young people to maintain the sustainability of the charity.
