Description
Glasgow FrontRunners is Scotland's largest LGBTQ+ focussed sports club, and the second largest UK FrontRunner club, with over 200 members. Founded in 2010, the club has gone from strength to strength and enjoys a diverse, mixed ability membership with something for everyone. Using The Arc Sports Complex at Caledonian University as our base, we have 3 regular weekly runs that take you through the sights and scenes of Greater Glasgow. To help get the most out of your running, we offer runs that suit all abilities (generally split into 4 skill level groups on a Thursday). We have a full range of abilities, from absolute beginners, to advanced competitive runners who undertake half-marathons & marathons. There are always Jog Scotland trained Jog Leaders on hand to lead the groups and to guide and advise you individually. Every week there will be a qualified Jog Leader assigned to look after your running group. We are not just about running, we like to socialise too! On the first Thursday of every month we go to out for drinks, and sometimes dinner after we’ve finished running. Most Sundays we go for brunch after the run. Throughout the year we organise club trips to local parkruns and national races, as well as national and international race trips which have a strong social focus Additionally, we organise regular social events, these have included a summer BBQ , Christmas parties, walking and cycling trips, as well as nights out on the town. As a FrontRunners club, we are affiliated with International FrontRunners.
