Kindness Homeless Street Team
homelessness
Description
Kindness Glasgow has been created to assist our homeless and vulnerable people within Glasgow. Our aim is to provide hot drinks, clothing, toiletries and essentials to our friends on the street. We have a pop up soup kitchen on George Square four evenings per week. Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7pm. We also supply an outreach team to cover more areas of the city centre. Our service has grown and we have shaped our charity to assist everyone needing a touch of Kindness. We will endeavour to widen our support and kindness with offering food parcels, short breaks, and continue to furnish properties with second hand furniture or white goods. Our charity has ran for one year, our funds have been solely public donations and support from friends, family and the community. Due to COVID19, our street team has created a hot food station and daily service to our users. We ensure everyone who comes for help achieves that, whether that be advice on trying to obtain accommodation, get a hot meal or a simple tea and coffee. No one is turned away. We believe in inclusion and everyone who uses our service is treated in the same manner regardless of their background or needs.
