The Grove Christian Centre (SC014571) has been located on Saracen Street in Possilpark since Easter 2004, when the Trustees opened the shopfront facility, having converted and refurbished the old Shoefayre shop. But the Christian charity which owns the Centre has a long and distinguished history going back to the 1840's, originally starting as a medical mission in Cowcaddens - then one of the worst slums in Glasgow. The motto of the original Institute were the words "Bear ye one another's burdens" from Galatians 6:2
