Glasgow East Womens Aid - Crisis & Drop In Centre
women relationships
Description
Our aim is the eradication of all forms of abuse towards women, children and young people and the structures that perpetuate them. If you are, or have been, experiencing domestic abuse, you can find more information about how we can help here. We also have a Frequently Asked Questions section that answers your questions about domestic abuse and what to expect from GEWA. We provide initial intervention & give information on services, legal rights, housing issues, benefit advice and on issues of concern for women, children and young people. We signpost to specialist agencies and provide support to women to facilitate access to services. We provide one to one counselling, support and refuge if needed. Any woman can get support whether or not accommodation is needed. We also run support groups for women who are currently being or have been abused by their partner or ex-partner. Support groups are self help groups which meet on a regular basis to enable women to recover from their experiences of abuse
