Description
Chattersense SCIO is a Glasgow-based charity located in Easterhouse, providing specialist sensory-led, trauma-informed support for children and young people aged 0–24 with additional support needs, neurodiversity, emotional regulation challenges, communication differences and complex developmental needs. Led by Specialist Occupational Therapist Sharon Craighead, Chattersense offers paediatric occupational therapy assessments, sensory integration-informed intervention, family support sessions, sibling inclusion opportunities, workshops, training and community wellbeing programmes. The organisation works from a philosophy of “therapy disguised as play,” creating safe, welcoming and inclusive environments where children, young people and families can develop confidence, connection and regulation through meaningful sensory experiences. Chattersense does not require a formal diagnosis for families to access support, helping bridge the gap between early concerns and statutory services while promoting inclusion, participation and emotional wellbeing across the wider family.
