Glasgow Asylum Destitution Action Network (GLADAN)
homelessness integration
Description
Glasgow Asylum Destitution Action Network brings together charities, church and community groups and individuals who are actively concerned for people who have been made destitute and in many cases homeless following the refusal of their application for asylum. The purpose of the network is to improve, broaden and communicate the help available to those in this situation. GLADAN website provides links to many of the organisations which are part of the network. GLADAN is not a charity, it is unfunded and volunteer-run and its only direct service is information. The downloadable leaflets here https://destitutionaction.wordpress.com/resources/ can be used to signpost or refer individuals who have claimed asylum or other vulnerable migrants at risk of destitution or homelessness to advice re accommodation options and other needs, advocacy, information, food support, training/volunteering opportunities.
