Description
We are an outreach service working with individuals who may feel marginalised in society due to either having addiction, mental health issues or being homeless or coming through the criminal justice system. We offer both emotional as well as practical support. Psychosocial interventions are offered as a way of emotional support as well as “just being there” by regular telephone calls, text messages, WhatsApp, Facebook and Zoom Meetings as well as our walk and talk group. We also assist where people require to go into rehabilitation and liaise with partner agencies on their behalf. We are a community of individual’s a lot of who have had lived experience and can relate to our service user’s experiences. We aim to “jump in” and walk with the people we support. Practical support ranges from assisting with getting things like mobile phones, furniture, food, fuel when benefits are an issue.
