North East Recovery Community (NERC) is a peer led charity that provides a variety of recovery initiatives in Glasgow, with the aim of promoting and assisting recovery from addiction to alcohol and drugs. NERC run six successful recovery cafes, a running group and an arts and crafts group across the North East of the city, including Bridgeton, Calton, Springburn, Parkhead and Easterhouse, all of which are all ran by volunteer's. Our Recovery cafes are a safe and confidential place for individuals and their family members who are recovering from addiction, to get practical and emotional support and advice At our recovery cafes everyone is welcome to pop along and get something to eat and a chat with our volunteers. Our cafes also offer complimentary therapies such as Acu-Detox and Massage.
