Description
Govanhill Community Development Trust (GCDT) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Govanhill Housing Association and was established by local people in 1991 to develop physical, social, economic and environmental regeneration initiatives additional to the mainstream housing development programmes in the Govanhill area. GCDT has two main areas of work – commercial property and the delivery of community development activities. GCDT’s property portfolio includes Govanhill Workspace, Victoria Court Workspace, Forsyth House and parts of Samaritan House. All of our properties are offered on flexible, short-term leases. This enables GCDT to attract employers to the local area and also support local people who may be setting up a business or social enterprise. Occupancy rates for our property are always high but if you are interested in our commercial property, please get in touch and we will do what we can to help. The profits from GCDT’s property activities help to support our community development initiatives, for which we also secure funding from national and local government, the Lottery and trusts and foundations.
